A Church, A Community

The concept for the sanctuary focuses on the centrality of “The Word” in the worship process, which was very important to the church leadership. Multiple entry points foster the idea of community outreach by creating a visual connection at the human scale for this 1800-seat church situated in the middle of an urban context. The vaults meet at the center of the space to create awe inspiring volume and use light to mark worshipers with the symbol of a star or cross depending on the time of day
